December 2007

I know, I know, it is sooooo boring to use weight loss as a resolution, but the fact of the matter is I need my life back. I need the gym and tuna fish sandwiches and Saturday morning runs. I am resolute. After the first I am taking my life back.  Do you think I could take Fin with me on my runs if I had this handy dandy carrier?

Could a person look more absurd?

I have some great pictures of Utah snow that I’ll be posting as soon as I can figure out how to convert them.

There was one gift we knew we couldn’t take with us to Mom’s house.

His first “big boy bike”.

We are going to miss Finn while we are gone.

Thomas had his Christmas program today. While all the other children were singing like angels, Thomas was shaking his bell like crazy and looking around.

He was so stinkin’ cute.

What do you do for Family Home Evening with only one child?

Watch a Charlie Brown Christmas and drink hot chocolate of course!

We are in full holiday swing. Hopefully our Christmas cards will go out this week sometime and I will get all the presents wrapped. Thomas has his school program on the 19th and we are all looking forward to it. Ben’s family is coming this weekend to celebrate Ben’s birthday and exchange our Christmas gifts. Ben has an elaborate menu planned for our Christmas dinner with them. I hope it tastes as good as it sounds.

Christmas Dinner Menu

Horseradish Encrusted Prime Rib

Herb Yorkshire Pudding

Creamed Spinach Soufflé

Roasted Beet and Blue Cheese Salad

Spice Cake with Penuche Glaze

With Pumpkin Ice Cream

But really, who cares if they are if they look that good?

I am officially on the mend. I decided to not take any more prescription drug pills. I want to try and just get by on Tylenol. I am going to drive Thomas to our Spanish class and then maybe do a little Christmas shopping.  Ben has really helped out a lot the past week, (I wonder why) and things are going pretty smoothly around here. Fin has only chewed up two pairs of shoes while I’ve been in bed.  Tomorrow is the grand unveiling and Ben will be on hand to inspect his investment.

Love those teeth!

Amy- I think any of those resturants sound great. Get Mom and Dad’s input and then let’s get a reservation!

I am feeling the holiday seasons spirit also.  I think that Charley will really enjoy this holiday too!
We wanted to go out to eat Christmas Eve and then to see the lights , so I wanted to present some ideas for places to go to eat.

SLC

My choices would be either the melting pot, buca di beppo, faustina’s, or Bambara.  Let me know what sounds good to you.

We always have the option of catching some Russian food at the Rasputin.

  • If we go to SLC, then we can go see the lights and nativity at Temple Square!

OGDEN

Rickenbackers, Timbermine, Ruby River, Jasoh’s, Snowbasin lodge.

  • If we stay in ogden, we can go see the lights & displays at city square (25th street).

P.S.  Here are some recent shots of people!  Nevermind…it won’t let me upload anymore pictures.  We need to go in and clean out and delete files first.  I took out about 10 of the big mg pics.  It still won’t let me.  I will go clean out my pictures and see if it will let me after that.

So mom has asked me to write the family newsletter this year for some unknown reason. This is what I have so far. Let me know what you think.

Campbell Family newsletter

Scott & Pam are doing great. Pam sure made a big step last week when she threw away 2 of her 100 pairs of glasses. We are trying to get her to put up fewer decorations this year. She has been going to the gym faithfully and is enjoying it. She hopes for washboard abs.  Scott still wanders in his own world, oblivious to his surroundings doing the usual, which includes: techno music, pigeons, kayaking, running, photography, baking cookies, and computers. We’re not even sure he knows its Christmas time yet.

The Chapmans are still having the whole ward over for card games & hot chocolate every night. They hope to host Juan Pablo and his entire family of 12 at their house this Christmas. Kelton’s hand has healed up just great, now if he could only keep his finger out of his nose it will stop bleeding.

So April got a boob job. She’s pretty excited about it. There is a lot of cheer at the Meeker house.

Charley still currently holds the title of favorite grandchild due to her current location. This puts the Titmus family in the golden position for now.

Ryan still goes about spending most of his time doing charity. The city is building a statue in his honor, recognizing his good works. He aspires to be Stake President in the near future, and we think he’ll make it.

Natalie, although technically not part of the family, is bringing lots of Christmas cheer to the scrooges of the Campbell home.

No just joking, I don’t know what to write about you. So maybe if you all could let me know, or hey even write your own damn paragraph, and send it to me that might be best.

Much love,
