Tonight for family Home Evening we pulled out some old slides and I took these snapshots of the screen. Dad

I was thinking today that I have a slight tendency to talk a lot about my jewelry on Etsy and I have never even mentioned the other FABULOUS artisans that have Etsy shops. Here are some of my favs:

I highly recommend spending some time shopping around on Etsy. It is really amazing what some of the artist are doing. I am excited right now because my good friend Shawn Record is helping me to develop a solid logo for my business. He and his brother are starting a graphic design firm and want to build their portfolio, so I lucked out! I am working on a bunch of new pieces. My goal for 2008 is to double my sales from last year. I am not sure that I will be able to actually keep up with all that work but I am willing to try. Thank heavens Thomas goes to preschool three days a week.
Speaking of preschool, this week, Thomas is learning about arctic animals. Today, they put their hands in a tub of lard that was floating in a bowl of ice water to feel how blubber keeps animals warm in the cold. They also learned to write upper and lower case letter “I” by fingerpainting it in “snow” (shaving cream). All I can say is, I’m so glad Thomas has such a fun school, and I’m soooo glad the projects happen there and not in my house.

Today, after my workout, I sat in the backyard and let the sunshine soak into my skin. Fin and Thomas played on the grass and Thomas’s giggle was infectious. It’s going to be a good day.

We had the missionaries over for dinner last night. Thomas went into “showoff” over drive and became extremely obnoxious, so much so, that we had to send him to his room. After dinner the missionaries (there were three of them with the combined personality of a grapefruit) wanted to share a spiritual thought with us, so we were all sitting around the family room when here comes my little angel down the stairs with a box of maxi pads. He marched right over to me and said, “Here Mom, you need these.”
I knew it was only a matter of time before Thomas did something like this. The missionaries all turned bright red and I had to tell them to go ahead and laugh, because after all, it was kind of funny. Some days I could really beat that child.

I’m finally getting around to posting some Christmas photos. As you can see, Thomas is a true snow bunny. He had a blast.
We had a hard time finding eyes for this snowman. Pretzels were a last resort.
Yellow Snow Supreme
Gather one heaping bowl of fresh snow, being careful to avoid any snow with a preexisting yellow spot.
Pour an ample amount of apple juice over the snow.
Enjoy!
Notice the “permapink” cheeks in all the photos. He really loves the cold!

Look closely to see my favorite present, relaxing under the tree.
April, I too miss those Saturday morning runs. I know that I need something to work towards to get me out of bed @ 6am to go run 18 miles….so I have decided to participate in the Ogden Marathon. I don’t know if I am going to committ to the full thing, but I will to at least the half. So, I am looking forward to that. But I am also looking forward to Charley’s 2nd B-day, Hawaii WITH THE FAM, Our 5th anniversary, and a possible pregnancy (way later on) in ‘08!! Lot’s to look forward to. Amy
RYAN- You should start getting into shakes & smoothies. Add fresh fruit for antioxidants & other Vit & Mins, yogurt for acifilophidus (good bacteria), and maybe a protein scoop in there. You might not think this will feel you up, but I bet you’ll be surprised. You could also have some whole wheat toast with natural peanut butter on it. I bet you will feel so much better during the day if you don’t refine carbo load on breakfast. Start your day out good!

So I need some ideas for breakfast foods. It has become my favorite meal, but I’m limited in variety of foods. I’m kind of getting bored eating the same thing. If you have any ideas other than eggs, pancakes, waffels, biscuits, muffins, oatmeal, and cream of wheat let me know.
